Digital elevation maps and Landsat composite false color image data (bands 2, 4, and 7) were combined to create this simulated fly-over of the test site. The elevation has been slightly exaggerated to enhance features. The flight follows the path shown below over the Lavic Lake area. It starts just north of Interstate 40 and then crosses over the Pisgah Volcanic Field. The May test site coincides with the small brown alluvial fan on the lower lava flow. The December test site is approximately the lower right point on the upper lava flow.
