Alabama School of Fine Arts - Birmingham, Alabama

Responsibilities: Develop a plan for the Raman Spectrometer. Students will become familiar with the Raman Spectrometer and how it is used and will complete practice tests at the University of Alabama prior to the field tests. They will help integrate the Raman plan into the overall mission plan and will help develop Raman-specific educational materials.

Flagstaff High School - Flagstaff, Arizona

Responsibilities: Perform image processing. Students will provide input to the mission plan regarding image acquisition during the Mars Yard and field tests. They will provide the St. Louis team with processed images to be included on the web page and the CD-ROM.

Lansing High School - Ithaca, New York

Responsibilities: Develop the mission plan. Students will work together with students from Norwich High School and Sct Knuds Gymansium to determine science and engineering goals for the rover tests and with students from Nerinx Hall to develop educational materials. They will be responsible for making necessary changes per lessons learned during the Operational Readiness Tests (ORT) at the JPL Mars Yard.

Nerinx Hall - St Louis, Missouri

Responsibilities: Maintain the web site. Students will post and archive data from the Operational Readiness Tests (ORT) at the JPL Mars Yard and the spring FIDO field tests. Following the completion of the spring field tests, they will archive the test data, educational materials, and field documentation provided by the other groups on a CD-ROM. They will also work with the other student teams to develop educational materials.

Norwich High School - Ithaca, New York

Responsibilities: Develop the mission plan. Students will work together with students from Lansing High School and Sct Knuds Gymansium to determine science and engineering goals for the rover tests and with students from Nerinx Hall to develop educational materials. They will be responsible for making necessary changes per lessons learned during the Operational Readiness Tests (ORT) at the JPL Mars Yard.

Sct Knuds Gymnasium - Copenhagen, Denmark

Responsibilities: Develop the mission plan. Students will work together with students from Lansing High School and Norwich High School to determine science and engineering goals for the rover tests. They will be responsible for making necessary changes per lessons learned during the Operational Readiness Tests (ORT) at the JPL Mars Yard. The Copenhagen team will also prepare a plan for the use of magnets at the field tests.
