| Plan | Sol 2 morning sequence uplinked by Rover Operations Team (ROT). Sol 2 morning sequence implemented by rover and downlinked; data not yet available for examination by COT. COT examines pans and Hazcam data from sol 1, selects target of opportunity for Pancam, IPS, MCI data, selects waypoints out to 25 m. Sequence developed for afternoon of Sol 2 and morning of Sol 3; Sol 2 afternoon sequence uplinked by Rover Operations Team (ROT), including end of traverse Navcam pan. | Comment | Rover stopped at 16 m and in front of a bush, based on examination of down-linked data, specifically front hazcam. We presume that the rover could not figure out how to get around the bush, and stopped to await new instructions after returning front and rear hazcam data. Navcam would have been acquired and downlinked as part of the contigency sequence, except that with the new mast height of 1.2 m FIDO Team did not have time to build in the new automatic contigency Navcam seqeunce. All downlink data received prior to the abort. Uplinking contigency sequence of Navcam pan to evaluate situation.
